If you are on a standard visit to Warwick Castle the main seasonal
event occurs in the school summer holidays. Currently it's called the
Great Mediaeval Summer. |
 |
The main exclusive event in the summer holidays is the addition
of the jousting show. There are other minor events which are
also on such as the Learn to Fight trails for kids but they are
minor. The jousting show is spectacular! Real horses, real men
all fighting and jousting in front of your eyes. The show is
complimented by a humorous commentary throughout. Try and make
it on a dry day though. If the weather is, or has recently been
wet, the jousting is restricted to one match only. |
 |
 |
There are two shows a day (click
here for times). For the best view get there 15 minutes
early. Stand in the middle of the side nearest the bridge for
the best view.
The show is accessible to wheel chair users although beware
the hill going up form the bridge when you leave the show. |
