| And if that wasn't complicated enough then consider this;
there is another option to book open un-dated tickets in all
seven categories all again at very different prices.
Surprisingly the open undated ticket booked online for the peak
season are cheaper than the dated online tickets for the same
peak season. Why?! So, what's the best course of action to get
the cheapest ticket prices? Go to the Warwick Castle official
site and look at the prices carefully (see the link at the
bottom of this page). If you can book online then do so. With
the exception of the price for a single person (minor
differences only), booking online
is significantly cheaper. Also look carefully at the option of booking an open
undated ticket online, that is often even cheaper.
For example, in peak season, a family ticket booked at the
gates will cost you £55.00. If you book an online dated ticket
the cost will be £49.50 plus a £1.50 fee. Book an online undated
ticket and the price will be £40.00 plus a £1.50 fee. Online
tickets can be sent via email (up to two hours) and printed on
your PC / MAC immediately.
The lesson is to look at the official prices page very
clearly and explore all the options.

pages. Official car parking is currently £3 per car. There is
anything between an 8 to 15 minute walk from the car park to the
castle entrance depending on the time of day you visit and how
fast you can walk. You need to pay for the parking near the
castle gates. Best to do that on your way in. If you leave it to
when you leave and forget, you will need to walk all the way
back again to get an exit ticket. Not funny on a hot day! One
final word of advice. At peak times especially, the
supermarkets, newspapers and other outlets often have 2 for 1
vouchers available. Keep your eyes peeled for them, they are
worth up to £34. |
