The garden is known to re-date 1660 and this is
one of the oldest gardens in Warwick. It is laid out
beautifully and there is a display of plants from
Easter to October.
Of particular interest is the arch behind the
large stone vase. This is a Norman arch constructed
in the 1100s. The vase is over 200o years old and is
believed to have originated in Egypt. |

The Knot Garden contains over 800
Box plants which require considerable maintenance to
keep them in shape. It was constructed to to
celebrate the new Millennium. The layout of the Knot
Garden mimics the design of the adjacent Malt House.
At the centre of the garden is
the inevitable Bear, a modern day representation of
the Coat of Arms of Lord Leycester. |
