Sliema is a sprawling Maltese suburb with
little to recommend it during the day other than for
shopping. This is the Maltese shopping centre for the locals
and tourists. But it is well worth a visit during the
evening. The cafes along the waterfront serve good food,
much of it Maltese. We can recommend the Davanti cafe, it
has good views, good food and reasonable prices.
A walk along the harbour side at night
will give excellent views of Valletta lit up against the
